Every code keeps an append-only record. Each entry — made, repointed, restyled, frozen, restored — is hashed onto the one before it, so a single quiet edit would break the chain in public. Once a day we fold every entry into one root, sign it, and publish it forever.

The design studio

A damage budget, not a guess
We count the actual codewords your logo covers against the error-correction budget, then tell you plainly: safe, tight, or over.
Scan-proof before download
Every shape in the catalogue is decoded by a real scanner at several print sizes, plus a blur and low-contrast pass. Two pupil shapes failed and we removed them.

Machines and assets, offline
Glue a code to a boiler or a forklift, scan it to read the history and log an inspection. In a basement with no signal the form still works: the entry queues on the phone, keeps its real timestamp, and sends itself when the bars come back. A logged fault alerts the owner.
A watchdog on every destination
We check where each code points around the clock: dead pages, expired or parked domains, a host that quietly changed, a redirect chain that grew. Two failures in a row and you are told — and scanners see a friendly "this page is being fixed" card instead of a 404.
It notices when a code goes quiet
A sticker that averaged forty scans a week and suddenly gets none is usually covered, peeled off or stickered over. We flag it. Alerts wait in the app; nothing pretends an email was sent.
Spreadsheets, bulk edits, undo
Swap a domain across two hundred codes with a dry run first, or link a Google Sheet and let it drive your destinations hourly. Every change is versioned, so one click walks it back — the printed square never changes.
GS1 Digital Link and product passports
Resolve a GTIN to instructions, recalls or a DPP-ready page, with a proper linkset for retailers. Ready for the 2027 checkout switch at $4 a month, not $200.
Campaign tags, added not overwritten
Tell a code which campaign it belongs to and we append the tags on the way through. Anything already on the link survives untouched, so your own tracking never gets trampled.

The awkward questions
What exactly happens if I stop paying?
Your account drops to free limits. Codes beyond the free five are marked frozen: they still scan and still redirect to whatever they pointed at. You lose editing, new codes and older analytics until you renew. We never switch a printed code off.
How would I know if you quietly repointed my code?
You would see it. Every code has a public record at /verify/<code> where each entry is hashed onto the last, and each day's entries are folded into one signed root we publish forever. We cannot rewrite yesterday without every proof you already hold failing to add up.
What if EverQR disappears tomorrow?
Download the Escape Kit: your routes, your scans, your proofs and a ready-to-run Cloudflare Worker. Point your own domain at it and every printed code keeps redirecting, with nothing of ours in the loop. We would rather lose the lock-in than sell you a promise we cannot keep.
What if the page my code points at goes down?
We check it around the clock. Two failures in a row and you get an alert, while anyone scanning sees a friendly card saying the page is being fixed instead of a browser error. We also tell you when a code that used to be scanned suddenly is not.
I pasted the wrong link to two hundred codes.
Bulk edits and sheet syncs are previewed before they run and versioned after, so Undo puts the old destination back. The printed square never changes either way.
Can I use my own short domain?
Yes, on Business at $15/month. One competitor charges $2,000 per domain per year for the same thing.
Will a code with my logo still scan?
We measure it rather than hope. The studio shows the damage budget and refuses to pretend a broken design is fine, and every download is decode-checked at your chosen print size.
How do I get my data out?
Settings → Export everything. A ZIP with codes.csv, scans.csv and a vector SVG of every code.
Someone is abusing a code you host.
Report it and we review it. Codes that break the rules get disabled — report a code.
